Just4Keepers Camps FAQ’S

IMPORTANT!

Though we expect no issues from our students, it is important to know that we have a zero tolerance policy for poor behavior; including any and all types of bullying and hazing. We want all students to have a wonderful experience at J4K and we will not hesitate to send a student home for poor behavior. All costs associated with dismissing a player from camp will be assumed by the parents/legal guardians.

Just4Keepers Camp FAQ’s

1. What do I need to bring to the camp?

Bringing the right equipment is crucial to having a successful camp. Of course you will need to bring your usual goalkeeper gear; jersey, gloves, shorts, socks and football boots. However, there are plenty of other things to think about:

– A refillable water bottle! You don’t want to get dehydrated.

– ALL students should bring plenty of water, each day.

– Bug-spray and sun-screen.

– Bring an extra set of gloves!

– Football boots that are already broken in. Don’t buy a new pair of boots to wear at camp unless you have enough time to break them in. New boots can give you blisters!

– Extra training gear. During the summer months you might need/want a fresh jersey for each session.

– Bring Rain gear! If it rains, we are getting wet.

– Long goalkeeper pants for breakaway sessions (optional)

DO NOT bring a load of money; it is not needed.

DO NOT bring expensive electronic equipment. If you choose to, it’s at your own risk as J4K and venue will not be responsible for any items that are lost or damaged.

2. Are parents allowed to watch training?

Yes! Parents are allowed to watch training sessions. However, parents, siblings, and/or friends are not allowed on the actual training fields at any point during camp. We ask that you watch training from the viewing areas. Remember, we need your child’s undivided attention throughout camp and during each training session.

3. What is the age limit?

The youngest goalkeeper we accept is U9 -U17

4. What if my child has allergies, needs medication, or has special dietary needs?

You must email us in advance of the camp beginning and explain your special requirements. On the first day at check-in, you will give J4K staff any and all appropriate information, medication, and further specific directions for your child. Any and all medication will be kept and dispensed by the assigned J4K staff member.

5. What happens if J4K needs to contact a parent?

We should have your complete contact information from the camp registration. If you did not complete this form fully or if you need to change any of your details, please contact your Camp Director before your child attends camp.

6. What happens if a parent needs to contact a player or J4K?

You will be provided with a 24-hour emergency phone number by your Camp Director prior to the start of camp. We ask that this number is used for emergencies only.

7. What is the J4K cancellation policy?

As parents ourselves, we understand things happen. We will try and be flexible if the unexpected happens and you can no longer attend camp. You can request a refund minus a $50 administrative fee prior to 30 days before the first day of camp. After this date J4K will have already paid the fees up-front for your place in camp, so if you need to cancel and we cannot fill your place, we unfortunately cannot guarantee a refund.

8. What happens if I am identified at a J4K Camp?

Keepers that excel and are identified at the J4K  Camp could earn an all expenses paid spot in the J4K Global Residential Camp in England where they will have the opportunity to get in front of professional team scouts that attend our Global Residential Camp every year!

9. What is a typical daily schedule for camp?

The morning training session begins on the field at 9:00am; followed by snack break at 11:15 am. Snacks will be provided but you may bring your own lunch or snacks. The camp will conclude at 1pm each day. We work hard at camp, but we also have a ton of fun and have sufficient down-time to rest and recover.
